 Many parents, and even grandparents, are looking for assistance in the formation of  faith for the children of their family.  Faith For Our Children - A Practical Guide is just the right book to do just that.  The framework within which the author wrote Faith For Our Children will suit everyone.  The reader is introduced to The ways we learn faith (Chapter 1); followed by A variety of catechetical roles (Chapter 2) in which he addresses the duties of the larger community available to support parents.  In Catechesis for sacramental preparation (Chapter 3), Michael provides a clear understanding of the importance of Baptism, First Eucharist, Confirmation and First Confession and the role of parents in the child's preparation for these sacraments.  Living a moral life is unquestionable the dream all parents have for their children.  Moral catechesis with an emphasis on the Ten Commandments (Chapter 4) points out how to make the dream come true.  While the author's whole approach is practical, the book's appendix, Activities to promote catechesis offers a number of reprintable games and activities for parents that will bring joy and fun to the experience of faith formation.
